Sally horne – provisional psychologist
Sally (she/her) is a provisional psychologist, who has an extensive history and varied experience in supporting people overcome challenges in their lives and improve their mental health and wellbeing. She is warm, empathetic, and compassionate and aims to connect with her clients around their goals for therapy and support them towards building those outcomes and addressing challenges.
Sally works collaboratively with her clients to develop personalised treatment plans to address a variety of issues, including stress, anxiety, depression, emotion-regulation, substance use, resilience, burnout, life transitions, academic and work performance, self-criticism, perfectionism, trauma, and eating disorders. She incorporates a range of evidence-based approaches, including mindfulness, self-compassion, cognitive-behavioural therapy, compassion-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and schema therapy, as well as strengths-based and solution-focused interventions drawn from positive psychology and coaching.
Sally is also a leadership and life coach and mindfulness instructor. She holds a Master of Science in Coaching Psychology, and Postgraduate and Graduate Diplomas in Psychology, and a Bachelor of Health Science / Chinese Medicine. Sally has also completed teacher-training certifications for several mindfulness-based programs, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and Cultivating Emotional Balance. Sally’s practice is LGBTQIA+ inclusive, sex positive, and accepting of those from all walks of life.
Sally is currently accepting new clients. She is available Monday evenings via telehealth and Thursday’s in our Carlton North location.
